Metrology refers to activities to unify units and ensure the accuracy and reliability of quantity values. It serves as an important foundation for scientific and technological innovation, industrial development, national defense development and people’s livelihood guarantee, and provides vital support for building an integrated national strategic system and capabilities.
To implement the Outline of the 14th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of the People’s Republic of China and the Long-Range Objectives Through the Year 2035, further consolidate the metrology foundation, enhance metrology capacity and competency, embark on a new journey for the development of metrology undertakings, and promote high-quality economic and social development, the organizers of Shanghai Metrology Expo take proactive responsibility with concrete actions. By combining exhibitions with forums, they build an information platform for supply and demand in the metrology industry, facilitate exchanges of metrology and testing technologies at home and abroad, and foster a thriving market for metrology testing technologies and products.
